How I overcame constantly starting from scratch with my fitness journey…

-

-

-

When I was 13/14 sitting in my chair, not having ever done any real exercises and wishing I had started and it just got me upset so much.

-

-

-

I just wanted to change, I just wanted to stand out somewhat. I didn’t want to continue on with this version of myself. So I started but I was starting from scratch…

-

-

-

So I started running, just to get fucking moving, and doing some ab circuits here and there but it was a start… and I was proud of myself to get the ball rolling.

-

-

-

Then highschool came along and the first time I really saw a real weight room.. and I had to start from scratch I had to learn how to utilize these weights to turn myself into who I knew I could be.

-

I was making progress learning more and more and then boom..my senior year of highschool snapped fibula, crouches 4 months straight, PT for 3 months. And to be completely honest though the injury was bad, a fire lit up inside me that knew when I came back this was just the beginning….I squatted 315lbs for the first time in my life 3 months after. But I started from scratch…roger that.

Fast forward to college…I had never played rugby in my life, so I started from scratch I was never great at it, but I put in effort to learn as much as I could and I had a fucking blast but it was because I wasn’t afraid to start from scratch…roger that

-

Then I started my online training business about a year and a half ago and I started from scratch again knew nothing about it.

-

-

At this point now in my life being unfamiliar with something doesn’t scare me it excites the shit out of me actually learning something new that I know absolutely nothing about. I love being a student and I won’t stop learning about lifting or anything that peeks my interest.

If you don’t start loving starting from scratch your growth is behind hindered by so much . SO STOP BEING SCARED OF STARTING FROM SCRATCH!! You want something go learn from someone who has done it before or start learning more about it and become obsessed with it.
