John is a leading solicitor advocate and human rights lawyer in Scotland. He serves as the President of the Society of Solicitors Advocates, he has defended clients in both the High Court of Justiciary as well as the in Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (one of his Supreme Court cases featured in the Channel 4 documentary “The Murder Trial”), and he was also awarded Silk of the Year in 2018.
