Speaking to people recently and my teacher friends I have learned some people hate the word " Self-Care" We are now going into our second year of a global pandemic and some people are so burnt out.
Today I talk about the negative and downside of self-care. Self-Care is looked at as a privileged female luxury.
I have created and practice myself 10-30 minute workouts, 5 minute meditations, and if you have time a quick gratitude journal.
We are making it harder for some people that don't have the help to set up an hour morning routine.
Also in this episode:
5:00 - Happy people don't talk about self-care they come from a place of giving to others and volunteer work.

9:40 - The Wellness Industry is a $4.2 Trillion industry. In the US the Self-Care movement has been glorified as an alternative health care system by privileged women. I don't want it to be this way. I want self-care to be accessible to everyone, inclusive to everyone.
13:00 - Ways I am trying to be a solution.
14:20 - Happy people check in with other people and don't focus solely on themselves. Self-care can make people self focused and they stop connecting with other.
