Description

Lisa has been practicing yoga since 2009 and got her training in Italy. She created Yoga 911 Trauma-informed, Resiliency Trainings for   First Responders and Yoga teachers. 

Men and women who are employed as First Responders in any community often see more violence, death, and destruction in one day than many witness in a lifetime. Because they are called to ‘respond to, ‘act for,’ and ‘save’ others. As the effects of stress and trauma play out in their everyday lives, it must be acknowledged that their health and well-being are at stake. The training mission is to bring more awareness of the need for self-care and tools of resiliency and repair to this under- served population and their communities through immersive training in yoga practices and education in the management of stress and trauma.
In this episode we talk about what the training  is, how it helps first responders, and we also talk about the benefits of yoga.
