Stories. Throughout our childhood, stories have been the primer for our imagination to understand the "Art of the Possible" that exists in the world before we even have a chance to take a step into it on our own. Whether they are the books your parents read you before bedtime or the episodic adventures found in Saturday morning cartoons, the stories in these childhood artforms taught us the basics of "good" vs "bad", helped us explore the past, present, and potential futures on Earth and in faraway places and gave us all immense joy.
For some kids they chose to move on from the stories, cartoons, and animated adventures of their childhood; but for me and today's guests we added to our experiences by delving into the joys and endless possibilities of anime! Anime isn't just adult cartoons, it's an evolution of an artform that has taught us so much and now as adults continues to not only entertain but help us understand the complex stories from around the world.
The episodes became journeys that taught us about growth and perseverance. The characters became heroes (or villians) to root for and watch become more than where they started. The animes became a blueprint for the ages and helped us map out the people we've become today!
