Simon Helberg stars in legendary director Leos Carax’s new Amazon Prime film, Annette. Co-starring with Oscar winner Marion Cotillard and Oscar nominee Adam Driver, Helberg holds his own in this three-hander where he plays Marion’s conductor, whose character is the true heart of the film. Deadline, rightfully so, points out that “Helberg nearly steals the film, particularly in a sequence where he is conducting the orchestra while reeling off dialogue, turning it all into a thrilling musical sequence, the film’s highlight for me.” Indiewire noted “The movie’s actual comic relief comes from Simon Helberg, in a hilarious deadpan turn as Anne’s accompanist (“The Conductor”), whose best scene comes as he tries to stuff in some expository dialogue in between composing an orchestra as the camera swirls around his face.”

While Helberg is widely known for his work on perhaps the biggest comedy in the world, The Big Band Theory, Annette is a departure for him. He most recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in Stephen Frears’ Florence Foster Jenkins for which he received a Golden Globe nomination along with the Virtuosos award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Helberg has also recieved a Critics' Choice Television Award and six Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his performance in The Big Bang Theory.
