Doina Bucur is a network data scientist and assistant professor of computer science at UTwente (The Netherlands). She works on mining network data, understanding the relation between network structure and function in complex systems, optimising networks using AI (metaheuristics), and machine-learning graphical models such as causal graphs. Her data is diverse: social, ecological, computer, information, and cultural networks. She is also associated with the Netherlands Institute for Ecology and as PI on the NWO Perspectief project Soil biodiversity analysis for sustainable production systems (SoilProS) (2023-2028), on ecological networks.

Doina Bucur es científica de datos de redes y profesora adjunta de informática en UTwente (Países Bajos). Trabaja en la extracción de datos de redes, la comprensión de la relación entre la estructura y la función de las redes en sistemas complejos, la optimización de redes mediante IA (metaheurística) y modelos gráficos de aprendizaje automático, como los gráficos causales.
