Hi Everyone! I had the pleasure of chatting with Madeleine Donahue a fellow illustrator from my book illustration class. Madeleine has some lovely watercolor work. Here is more about her:
I am a freelance illustrator from the Bay Area currently based in Qingdao, China. Along with drawing and playing with my pets, I spend my time exploring the local wildlife. I particularly enjoy bird watching and love to incorporate native flora and fauna as well as creatures from my hometown in Northern California into my work.
I received a BA in studio art from Kenyon College and am working on my MA at Savannah College of Art and Design.
My focus is book illustration, particularly picture books. I am also interested in children’s illustration, surface design and editorials, focusing on environmental and social justice issues.
