PEACE BE STILL
Day 250
Date : Sunday 6th September, 2020
Text: Mark 4:39KJV
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."

THOUGHT CODE: "When we allow temptations of life to overcome us, Christ sleeps in us."
"Peace, be still" literally means, Be silent! be muzzled! These words indicate the supreme authority of Christ as God, ruling the sea with his mighty power.
Peace is not the absence of turbulent times or the denial of the raging storms of life, but the assurance you have that despite the storms of life, there is a certainty that you cannot sink or shipwreck because Jesus is in your boat. And when Jesus resides in your boat, sinking is Impossible.
When faced with a raging stormy situation, let your faith determine your confession. The disciples would have sank if Jesus was not in the boat because of their confession.
They said "...Master, carest thou not that we perish?"-Vs. 39b
Who is in your boat?
Most times, we carry wrong notions and put wrong people in our boat which is responsible for the boat sinking. The places we go, the people we listen to, what we watch is responsible for the sinking of your boat.
What you confess in the face of a fiery situation can make or mar you.
Vs.40 "And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?"
It is revealed in this scripture that fear neutralises our faith. Therefore, the absence of faith is the presence of fear, and the presence of fear is the disappearance of our6 peace.
Sometimes, what we face is meant to check the stability of our faith in God. Faith is not a verbal articulation nor positive confession, but an unmoveable conviction rooted in the promise and principles of the word of God.
The problem a lot of people have basically, is that they allow their situation determine their confessions, thereby neutralizing their convictions.
Vs.39; "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."
Like Jesus, whenever you sense a storm, don't fret. Speak to it. You have been given dominion over everything and everything is subject to your authority use it rightly.
COUNSEL: Decide Today and Always to speak to any stormy situation and command PEACE, BE STILL !
PRAYER: Dear Father, I command every stormy and tumultuous situation in my life to be calm and I speak peace be still in Jesus name (Amen)
