Date: Tuesday 25th August, 2020

Text: Jeremiah 1:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
(please read the entire chapter for understanding).

THOUGHT CODE: "What you see, goes a long way on forming your destiny. Take heed what you see"

In God’s agenda, the individual’s capacity to see is not negotiable because it (ability to see) is what determines what one gets or enjoys from God. It takes your seeing for you to possess. In other words, if you see nothing, you possess nothing because God can only facilitate the crystallization of the things you see, expect or imagine.
In the exchange with Prophet Jeremiah chapter one of the book of Jeremiah, the later tried to decline from functioning as the prophet that the former had ordained him. His excuse was that he was but a child who apparently was scared of stepping into the shoes of a prophet. But the interesting thing, however, is that both Jeremiah’s age and lack of confidence did not stop him from picturing or imagining a great future ahead. Yes, he was scared stiff but was expectant of great things ahead. Despite his reluctance and diffidence, when the almighty queried him thus; “… what seest thou?” his response was a positive. “I see a rod of almond tree.”
Why an almond tree? It is a symbol of hope, fruitfulness and, above all, shelter for mankind. Although, he (Jeremiah) saw himself as too young for the assignment God was commissioning him for, but in his mind’s eyes he was already visualizing hope, fruitfulness and succour for mankind. The latter (ability to see beyond the physical and immediate) was all that God needed. Little wonder, He (God) affirmed the reluctant little prophet, despite his resistance and reluctance. “Then the Lord said unto me, thou hast well seen; for I will hasten my word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12).

Beloved, for you to be a partaker of God’s Riches At Christ's Expense, you must take hid what you see. What seest thou? What can you see with your mind’s eyes? Your imagination or expectations now will determine what you experience later in the year. Your expectation yesterday is your reality today.

As far as God is concerned, breakthrough begins in the mind. If you can imagine it; see what ought to be in your mind’s eyes, despite what is on the ground, He (God) would step in. Remember He has assured us that none of our godly expectations or hope would be dashed. You have already shut the door of breakthrough against yourself if your mind is blank; without any hope, expectations or dreams. Dare to expect something; hope for something, even if you don’t know how it will materialize.
Let me conclude this piece with this: The capacity to see is a function of faith, not age. Abram was aged, yet God told him he could still see. Jeremiah was a mere child, yet he saw. You too, can “see”, despite your age or level. Again, seeing, in this context, has nothing to do with your physical eyes. You may be physically blind, but still able to see a paradise in your mind’s eyes. Conversely, you are blind and condemned to a life of gloom and doom if you are blinded in your mind or spirit, even if your two eyes are wide open. This, of course, is a worse form of blindness.
Like Jeremiah, God is asking you “what seest thou now? ” May He hasten the manifestation of all you are dreaming of in Jesus’ name!

COUNSEL: Take heed what you see, because it goes a long way in forming your destiny.

PRAYER: Dear Father, I refuse to see lack, poverty, failure and debt. From today, I take heed what I see. I see prosperity, success, abundance and glory, in Jesus Name! (Amen).
