Welcome to the first part of our three part series, Irresponsible Independence: In Commitment and Consequence.
In this series we delve into the dichotomy of our God-given freedom and our duty to serve Him and others. While many of us aspire to be people of outstanding character and honor, our culture often misleads us into rebellion against God's kingship through subtle pressures in our day to day choices and unconscious life perspectives. There is a war going on in the spiritual realm with two sides that are fighting over us, seeking our citizenship and loyalty. Our choices determine the kingdom to which our lives are aligned. The heart of the decision comes down to whether we choose to walk in love and commit our lives to God's purposes or instead we choose vain pursuits and go after our own ambitions. We discuss the importance of using our freedom to live a life of service and strong commitment to love instead of being always concerned with what has only to do with ourselves.
