Welcome to the second part of our three part series, Irresponsible Independence: In Commitment and Consequence. In this series we delve into the dichotomy of our God-given freedom and our duty to serve Him and others.
In this show, we discuss the major disconnect for many Christians between their stated belief that Jesus is Lord of their life versus their daily practices of just going on about their own agenda without finding out what God's will even is. It's of paramount importance that we live our life on the foundation of being yielded to God. Jesus lives in us, but it is our responsibility to live in Him. Jesus has given Himself wholly to us as the Bridegroom. In the same way, we are supposed to give ourselves wholly to Him as His Bride. We also discuss the importance of discernment to be able to set boundaries so we understand to what and whom we should submit and, on the opposite side of things, where resistance is the right thing to do. Ultimately, for us to have God's best in our life, submission to His will and serving Him first is an absolute must.
