Welcome back to another episode of Asian Lifing! We have all know for quite some time, the healthcare experience and practice have been broken by the old way of thinking and approaches as we grew up and begin to understand and educate ourselves. It is definitely much more of the struggle for those living with mental health and disability, especially when it was considered a thing or consider very seriously back then, even though in recent days there have been more resources to support that. This lack of emphasis ties into certain toxic traits growing up in a traditional Asian Family definitely cause lots of damage and limit to someone's ability and overall mental health. Come join me on today's episode as I shared my experiences and thoughts on what's like to live with mental health and disability from a Vietnamese Asian American perspective while trying to navigate life and the overall health & care experiences in the US.
