Introducing Beverley Evans!
Christmas is a magical time for all, especially children.
It's always important to remember that all children are different and all have their own individual needs over the festive season.
Beverley is a mother of 3 children, a pediatric nurse, managing services in the community working with learning disabled children and at this time of year - wants nothing more than to make her children feel special.
Having children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) means that things have to be dealt with differently over Christmas and can flood Beverley with anxieties with getting the family together, will her children eat at the table? will people judge her and her family?
Christmas is a time for everyone and Beverley and I will be discussing what it's like to make Christmas special for children who are on the Autistic spectrum, and how we can be more mindful when it comes to gift buying and our own behaviours around children with autism.
