Netflix's Castlevania, based on the game with the same name is what's hot right now!
So, we've joined the hype train. We made a video breaking the news that Castlevania was getting its fourth season (check it out on the Weeb101 Last Take YouTube channel) and we decided to take the plunge (hehehehe) into Dracula's life. Castlevania is a show that starts with Dracula's wife being burnt at the stake after she's accused of being a witch. The Church sentences her to be burnt at the cross for her sins of engaging in demonic sciences which turns out to be... well, just sciences in general. How very church-like. They also take her test tubes and medicines to be evil concoctions that are used to further her demonic agenda. Weirdly, they know nothing of Dracula. Only his wife.
Dracula is, understandably, furious with the murder and decides to call out his creatures from hell to destroy the city, but his son Alucard refuses to let him do so. Dracula wants to commit genocide and Alucard is not ready to stand by and let him do it. Dracula slashes Alucard and he needs to spend time in deep slumber to recover. He's eventually found by Sypha Belnades (a speaker magician) and Trevor Belmont (a professional vampire slayer) and the three of them join forces to find and kill Dracula!
