Description

Jesus, reflecting on the days of Lot (Luke 17:28-33), urges us not to remain stuck in the past but to focus on what God has planned for the future. Lot’s wife, mentioned in Genesis 19:15-26, turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back with longing, failing to fully embrace the new beginning God was offering.

The account of Sodom and Gomorrah’s punishment, described in Ezekiel 16:49-50, highlights how pride, complacency, and disregard for others can lead to destruction.

Instead of lingering on what is behind, we are called to trust God’s promises, embrace His purpose, and walk confidently toward the future He has prepared for us.
