Fight the Good Fight.

This passage teaches us three things.

- FLEE

There are times when a servant of God should take a stand against false doctrine and godless practices, and separate himself from them.

Let’s separate ourselves from the culture of this world!

- FOLLOW – Pursue with purpose

Yes separate, but then we must pursue and grow, otherwise we get trapped in the isolation game!

Paul recommended to PURSUE the following:

• Righteousness = Personal integrity
• Godliness = Conduct
• Faith or faithfulness = the greatest ability in faith is dependability
• Love = seeking to give rather than gain
• Steadfastness/ patience = which is ENDURANCE
• Gentleness = it is not a sign of weakness, but it’s POWER under control!

- FIGHT

What are we fighting against? Identify your enemy!

Fighting means defending our faith from the enemy, who is trying to deceive us, Christ’s church and humanity!

How do we fight?

Through His word - Gain faith by God’s word

Through His spirit - The holy spirit is your source of POWER to overcome

With His people - Surround yourself by God’s people

With a surrendered heart - Worship is your fuel –
