Description

Once anointed David went back to the fields to watch over the sheep. He was in his teens and didn’t become king until he was 30. He had a promise, an anointing and yet he was back in the fields on his own, rejected, alone… still, he continued to HOPE !

Even though he was still in the fields he nevertheless envisioned and hoped on God’s promises.

He trained:

  1. His Heart – Writing/singing psalms, putting together some of the most profound pieces of literature regarding God in history.
  2. His Hands – learned to skillfully play the lyre, so much so that he was famous for his musical ability.
  3. His Head – he learned how to defend his flock from bears & lions.

David’s character didn’t need to wait for positioning or recognition, he knew deep down who he was, still nevertheless never stopped trusting in God. Don’t strive for recognition but acknowledge your identity in Christ Jesus.
