Description

You have an important role in the Church, and the meaning of life emerges from your testimony of faith and service to others. Tabitha's story shows how even seemingly small actions can have a big impact on the community. Be a dedicated disciple and live your faith every day.

1) All have a part to play - The first Greek female mentioned in the New Testament, significance of this lady being MENTIONED. Speaks about the importance we all have in the story of the church. No matter our background, no matter our past we all have a future.

2) WHO you are is your starting point - She was a “disciple”, meaning she was not simply defined a believer but a disciple. She had all the characteristic worthy of the definition. She did not first find her “talent” then played up to it. She understood her “worth” as a “disciple” and that was evident to all.

3) Live with a mission mindset - She had a mission, she did not travel to far away countries like Paul or Peter, but she was impacting the life of the widows in her city. She did not undermine whatever she was doing, but faithfully serving the widows of the city.

Tabitha did not Focus on the “what” or the “where” or the “When”, she was simply living a disciples life. Ecclesiastes 9 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.

You will never find an unemployed disciple. But you will find bored believers!

4) Never underestimate God’s power- she was a simple seamstress, but in God’s hand it was changing a city! Who you are and whatever you do , if placed in God’s hand it becomes an unstoppable force.
