We are Family is - not an Entitled spirit
Entitlement is the very thing that will separate you from the very presence of God! It separated Satan form God’s presence. Be careful of these “signs”
1) I come before U (narcissistic worldview)
2) What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine (double standards)
3) Expectation of privilege is so great it leaves equality feeling like oppression.
4) When your anger feels justified (ongoing sense of confrontation)
5) Poor old me (attention seeking conduct)
We are Family is - stretching out
Family is about “stretching”, going from here to there. Means that family is about INVESTING into!!
A father/mother invests in children, children actively stretch out to “grow” and develop.
” principle is applied perfectly in the “we are family” value.
EVERYONE does something in a family unit, and no function is considered more important than another.
We are family is - a “Here” spirit
It’s present, it’s not lacking, it’s being in the moment prioritizing what’s needed or what needs to be done!
The key word to focus on is, Jesus, was reminding us of the Hierarchy of Love!
We are Family is - defined by a common purpose.
Unity is strong in common vision and goal. Just like a the natural family that has the common goal to BUILD, PROTECT & MULTIPLY so does the spiritual family prioritizes the same essence
UNITY IS NOT UNIFORMITY
Home is not necessarily a place/location but rather it’s a feeling of belonging. Belonging to a common purpose/Goal
The “living” together is that Harmonious Spirit , distinct but still in harmony
The priesthood of believers
We are family, yes, but we are above all PRIESTS to each others.
The roles of a priest are:
1) Encourage
2) Correction
3) Intercede
4) Sacrifice
