“God with us” concept was estranged to the Hebrew/Gentile Listener. In the Ancient writings God was referenced in various ways;
Here Jesus is called Imanuel, God with us
He is Behind you
He covers our back, in the things we can’t see, things we don't expect. He is the God of the unexpected news!
He is by your side
He gives us PROTECTION – DIRECTION – AFFIRMATION
He goes before you
Going in front means that he has experienced our pains/feelings/rejection before we ever did or will.
He knows us more that we will ever know ourselves.
