Is America an exceptional country? Most political commentators have very strong opinions on this topic. We know that America, along with the rest of the West, has been demonized over the last few decades and especially in recent years. America has a plethora of ugly events, policies, and moments in its past. There's no denying that.
But does that remove any possibility that it stands out among other nations and empires in human history? Today, we take a look at some of those opposing views, evaluate some of the founding documents, and try to determine whether or not America is exceptional as some claim.
