Every two years, we hear the same message: "This is the most important election of our lifetime". Some even pushed the idea that "Democracy was on the ballot", implying that we'd see the death of Democracy should the wrong party take the majority in the House and Senate.
On the other hand, we had major political players, like former President Donald Trump, who carelessly denigrated the nominees within their own party, which proved to be a losing strategy.
Was last week as crucial as some say? What should we, as Catholics and people seeking lives of excellence, really prioritize and focus on coming out of election week?
