In light of the recent shooting in Colorado Springs, there have been many online debates about who is responsible for such acts of violence and what solutions we as a society should try and implement to prevent future attacks such as this one.
If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen me sharing tweets from AOC, posts from the NYT, and a post from another Catholic influencer. All of these insinuated, implied, or presented premises that lead to the conclusion that the Church's stance on same-sex marriage and gender theory contributes and/or leads to violent attacks against the LGBT community.
I debunk all such nonsense and cite several strong sources against the foolish idea that Catholics can or should support Socialism or big government in any form.
