Today I am chatting with my good friend and Executive Director of Hope for Tomorrow Keysha Gomez. Hear all about how she defied the odds of being raised by a single teenage mother to now dedicating her life to inspiring and lifting up youth all over the Pittsburgh area. Her story is one of overcoming and not letting her circumstances define her.
Keysha Gomez has been an avid proponent for youth for more than 20 years. Keysha is a graduating member of the 2018 CORO Next Neighborhood Leaders. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh and founding H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow, Inc. Keysha worked in the non-profit arena with a focus in substance abuse prevention and HIV early intervention. Under her direction, H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow has received two proclamations from the City of Pittsburgh, one naming September 16th H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow Day and the other naming May 18th H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow Volunteer Day, a reflection of the impact H.O.P.E. has had in recruiting and sustaining passionate volunteers. H.O.P.E. was also nominated for a CORO MLK Organizational Leadership Award (2018) under Keysha’s direction. Keysha is also the recipient of the 2018 Cupcakes Most Wanted Youth Ally Award and 2019 Pulse Magazine ‘40 under 40’ recipient.
