With a deep and experience roster coached by Phil Martelli & led by the likes of future NBA players Jameer Nelson & Delonte West, the Hawks dominated the 2003-2004 regular season & finished undefeated with a #1 ranking.
Coming from the mid-major Atlantic 10 Conference, the Cinderella Hawks advanced all the way to the Elite 8 before a last second loss to Oklahoma State.
