An All-American at Notre Dame, Theismann played his first few seasons in the CFL after a contract dispute with the Miami Dolphins.
After eventually making his way to Washington, Theismann led the then-Redskins to a Super Bowl title & an appearance in the Super Bowl the following season. After a devastating leg injury ended his career, Theismann turned into a successful broadcaster.
