Episode 207 of “The Sports Experience Podcast” is here & we’re in the middle of our “Brothers in Baseball” series.
In this episode we discuss Lloyd Waner. “Little Poison” joined the Pirates in 1927. That year, Lloyd set a rookie record for hits in a season while him & Paul led Pittsburgh to an NL Pennant.
In addition to being one of the league’s best leadoff hitters, Waner was a fantastic defender in Center Field.
An All-Star who batted .316 for his career, Waner also collected 2,459 hits & was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967.
