All Joe did was become the face of Major League Baseball over the next decade and a half on one of pro sports’ most legendary franchises.
“The Yankee Clipper” won nine World Series, was a 13x All-Star, notched two batting titles, was a 3x MVP in the AL, enjoyed an MLB-record 56 game hitting streak in 1941 and made the Hall of Fame.
