One of the greatest players in the history of the NHL, Messier was a force for the dominant Edmonton Oilers during the 1980s. Overall, Messier won five Stanley Cup championships with Edmonton & the Hart (MVP) Trophy in 1989-1990.
Messier later led the New York Rangers to a Stanley Cup title in 1993-1994 and cemented his legacy as one of the greatest clutch players & leaders in NHL history.
Overall, the Hall of Famer ranks 3rd all-time in career Points (1,887), won six Stanley Cup titles, was the first player to captain two separate franchises to Cup titles, and was a 2x MVP.
