Episode 241 of “The Sports Experience Podcast” is here & we’re back on the gridiron discussing Jerome Bettis.
After incredible 1991 & 1992 seasons at Notre Dame, Bettis was drafted 10th overall by the Los Angeles Rams & took the NFL by storm when he won the 1993 Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Though he fell out of favor with the coaching staff with the Rams, Bettis cemented his HOF career over ten seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“The Bus” was not only massive but possessed some of the quickest feet for a Running Back in NFL history. Overall, Bettis finished his career with over 13,000 rushing yards & 91 TDs, was a 6x Pro Bowl honoree and helped Pittsburgh win Super Bowl XL in his final professional game.
