When you think Point Guard - Jason Kidd was the classic example in the modern era. Not only a great assists man, Kidd was an excellent defender, could run the floor, and developed into a good shooter. An NBA Champion as a player, assistant coach and a Gold Medalist, Kidd rose to super stardom after a terrific college career at California where he carried the Golden Bears during, arguably, the most competitive era in PAC-10 Conference history.
