Description

One of track and field’s most dominant female athletes, “Flo-Jo” was a once in a generation talent. Rising from poverty to earn a college scholarship, dropping out to work as a bank teller & hairdresser and regaining financial aid, Griffith-Joyner became an Olympic hero. Not only a world record setter in the 100M & 200M, Griffith-Joyner won three gold medals & two silver in her Olympic career and did it with her own flair and swag. Tragically taken by a seizure in her sleep in 1998, “Flo-Jo” remains a legend.
