A surly individual who was blocked at multiple positions during his early MLB career, nobody can deny Kent is one of the best second basemen of his era. Despite not becoming a star until his early 30s due to trades and stints on bad teams, Kent was the perfect complement to Barry Bonds’ in the San Francisco Giants’ lineups of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Kent finished his career with the most home runs of any second baseman ever and could very well be voted into the Hall of Fame one day.
