Description

Steve Fisher was one of College Basketball’s most interesting figures over the last four decades. After guiding the University of Michigan to an NCAA Title in 1989 as an interim coach, Fisher recruited “The Fab Five” & almost won two more National Titles. Sadly, scandal regarding recruiting & boosters, of which Fisher had no involvement rocked the school and he was fired. However, a career rebirth & complete and total rebuild of San Diego State’s basketball program in the 2000s & 2010s illustrated how great of a coach Fisher was. One of only 10 people ever to win an NCAA Title & NIT title, Fisher deserves to be recognized as one of the best coaches of his era.
