For many diagnosis, therapies are required. Parent's may not know where to turn or what to ask for when their has special needs. Brooks Rehabilitation has been serving the Northeast Florida region for 50 years and specializes in therapies not only for the differently abled population, but also any individual experiencing trauma and in need of rehab.   I discuss the variety of therapeutic offerings and programs hosted by Brooks Rehabilitation with Megan Hyman, Pediatric Community Program Manager at Brooks Rehabilitation. We also dive into the extracurricular opportunities and adult programs available, and how Brooks can be of service to your family, regardless of the therapy need.   Megan Hyman is a pediatric occupational therapist with 20 years’ experience working in early intervention, outpatient, school-based, and community environments. After working with patients and families in skilled therapy, Megan discovered her passion for programmatic development. She saw the opportunity to bridge therapeutic services with community integration on a larger scale. She started the Pediatric Recreation Program in 2016, igniting her love for community collaboration, advocacy, and FUN! Junior Wheelchair basketball started in 2018 as a recreational sport, with 8 players. In 2019, the Brooks BullSharks registered with the NWBA in the Junior Prep division.
