Proud Grand rapids, Michigan, born rapper, businessman and Executive Producer, Willie The Kid sits down to talk to KD for Ep19. We break down lyrics to some of my favorite songs off his 2020 album, Capital Gains. While Willie is very much a poetic rapper, he is just as much a graceful businessman. He talks about owning the only black business back in his home town, investing in tech, and why its important to be financially educated. Willie didnt just want to be another rap artist. He wants to tell stories about people who inspired him. One of those people is the leader of the harlem renaissance, Poet, activist, and columnist Langston Hughes. Willie is an Executive Producer for a PBS documentary covering Langston Hughes, titled , "I Too Sing America: Langston Hughes Unfurled.
