This is part 1 of 2 in a conversation on abortion. Because this is such a charged issue that's influenced by so many different voices and perspectives with so many competing agendas, it usually generates more heat than light. We do not take for granted that our congregation has a uniform view on this matter, so it's genuinely our hope to have a conversation that brings more light than heat. For us, that means we have to do our best to lay aside all of our speculations to start with God's revelation; to step back from what everyone else says to examine what God says.
