Content Warning: sexual assault and rape
We are finally starting with Star Trek: The Next Generation! We are so excited and therefore started with one of the worst episodes imaginable, 5x06 "The Game". As we center around Wesley Crusher in our first few episodes, this is a great introduction to the wits and brains this young man has. This episode has everything you can imagine (well, maybe not every-thing): evil chair spins, wacky director notes, one near death experience, a manhunt!
As some of the characters show some (through the game neurological induced and wildly out of character) predatorial behaviour, and one of the supporting actresses in the episode is a survivor of Harvey Weinstein, we think it is important to give a content warning. In the episode we talk about the predatorial behaviour of Riker and Co. and discuss one scene in particular that gives us all the yikes. Listener discretion is advised!
Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun recording this and even got a sexy surprise at the end!
