In today’s episode, we have Jesse Billauer.
Jesse suffered a surfing accident at the age of 17, hitting his head on a shallow sandbar after being knocked off his surfboard by a wave. The force broke his neck, severing his spinal cord at the C6 level and instantly rendering him a quadriplegic.
Doctors told Jesse he would never surf again however, Jesse eventually did return to surfing, adapting his surfing technique and equipment to the situation of his current condition.
Almost 20 years later Jesse is the founder of Life Rolls On, a foundation that helps kids live out their dreams of surfing and skateboarding. Jesse has helped hundreds of people all over the world with his speaking and foundation.
In today’s episode, we discuss his accident, how he handled it, and his journey to get him to where he is today. we talk about his two amazing twin boys and what he has plans for the upcoming year.
