After a little podcast hiatus, I thought it would be fitting to talk about when social media gets it WRONG🙅🏻♂️
At its best, Instagram and other platforms are an informative and interactive space we we share ideas and LEARN from each other.
So big S/O to the platforms out there that strive to do that, REGARDLESS of what Instagram rewards or what we do often think sells.
What I DON’T support is using instagram to exploit insecurities or create obscured and unattainable “fitness goals” by painting health as having specific body features and comparison culture.
That is taking so many steps back!
If nothing else, KNOW THIS. Sustainable health and fitness doesn’t come through sexy 20 second “self-fix” videos and one-off nutrition and fitness programs.
There are absolutely amazing fitness and healthcare professionals out there who CAN help you, and you should seek them out. 💪🏼
It is an investment worth more than its weight in gold💰, and you should TAKE THE TIME to seek out the person that’s right for you!
The best PT’s and coaches out there are creating thoughtful and useful content for you, not using sex appeal to make you want what they have.
