PHIL
Hello and a very warm welcome to episode 0426 of Colourful Radio’s weekly news review show. We call it Five in the Eye, because we look back at five stories in the news that have caught our eye and give you our honest opinions, without pulling - we hope - too many punches. In London, I’m Phil Woodford.

And joining Phil today via Zoom, it’s me - Michael Ohajuru - revealing that our top story is going to be the launch of the ULEZ in London and the campaign of civil disobedience against it. What justification to protesters have to obstruct Sadiq Khan’s plans?
PHIL
And for number two this week, it’s Tory MP Nadine Dorries. She has finally resigned and issued a blistering letter attacking Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
MICHAEL
What’s story number three? Well, it’s the US TV presenter who proposed on air to the anchor of a news show. Is it ok to put people on the spot in public?
PHIL
For our fourth story, remember the old adage: ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do?’ Well, former Tottenham striker Harry Kane has taken it to heart when arriving to play at Bayern Munich. He’s been pictured wearing lederhosen and eating sausage!
MICHAEL
And finally this week - to wrap up the Eye - it’s those pesky measuring devices for your luggage at airports. One man recently became so frustrated at the fact his case didn’t fit, that he started ripping off its wheels and handle!
PHIL
That’s travelling light! And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
