MICHAEL
Hello and welcome to another action-packed episode of Five in the Eye - Colourful Radio’s weekly news review. This is me - Michael Ohajuru - in a field in Southern England and you’re listening to episode 0320.

And joining Michael via Zoom this week from London, it’s Phil Woodford, revealing that we have a very special guest on the show. You may know her as a host right here on Colourful, where she plays soul and rare groove, but you’ll also see her byline on many news stories published by the Daily Mirror. It’s none other than Lorraine King. At last, Lorraine, we’ve managed to get you on the show!

Hi Phil, hello there Michael. It’s great to finally be here on Five in the Eye! And what’s our top story going to be this week? Well, with news that up to 5,000 cases of corona are being connected with the Boardmasters festival in Newquay, we ask: just how safe are live music events? Should we be back partying? Or still being extra careful?

Story number two concerns the website OnlyFans. It’s built a reputation for explicit content, with some people claiming to make thousands of pounds a month through posting seedy videos. The site was under pressure to ban explicit content by the companies that processed its banking and, at first, it seemed they would comply. But now they appear to have changed their minds.

What’s story number three? Well it’s the appointment of Ian Lord ‘Beefy’ Botham - the former England cricketer - as trade envoy to Australia. A classic example of jobs for the boys?

Here’s a story we covered in the Mirror this week at number four. A man in Yeovil has used an app to help deliver twenty grand’s worth of food to needy families during the pandemic. It’s all leftovers from the supermarkets and he makes sure they don’t go to waste.
MICHAEL
And finally this week, to wrap up the show, what would you say if you were suddenly confronted by a Hollywood icon like Harrison Ford or Tom Cruise? That’s what happened to a fireman in London and the owner of an Indian restaurant in Birmingham this week!
PHIL
As you’re travelling the country right now, Michael, I imagine people are queueing up for selfies! And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
