MICHAEL
Hello and a warm Jubilee welcome to episode 0360 of Five in the Eye, our weekly news review show here on Colourful. This is me - Michael Ohajuru - and between now and the top of the hour, we’re going to be looking at five stories that have caught our eye and giving them the once-over.

And this Phil Woodford joining Michael via Zoom and revealing that the Jubilee celebrations are going to be right at the top of the show this week, as we discuss the changes during the Queen’s reign and the future of the monarchy.

Our second story concerns so-called trophy hunting, where wealthy Americans, Europeans and others head to Africa to kill lions, giraffes and other endangered creatures. It seems like a barbaric practice that celebrities are campaigning to ban. But some African nations accuse the animal rights campaigners of ‘neo-colonialism’.

For story number three, have you got any hidden tattoos, Michael, that you haven’t told me about? If so, you may no longer be required to cover them up if you got a job as a steward on Virgin Atlantic. The airline has become more relaxed about displays of body art.

What’s story number four this week? Well, the Elizabeth Line is up-and-running from Ohajuru Towers in Abbey Wood! Over a million people have already travelled on it and I’m one of them! I’ll give you a full report.

And to finish the show this week, Sky reports that Elvis impersonators have been left ‘all shook up’ by moves to stop them presiding over wedding ceremonies in Vegas.
MICHAEL
Elvis has left the building! And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
