PHIL
Hello and a very warm welcome to Five in the Eye - Colourful Radio’s weekly news review show. And what a week it’s been. I’m Phil Woodford in London and this is episode 0365.
MICHAEL
And joining Phil via Zoom this week, it’s me - Michael Ohajuru - revealing that our top story is, of course, going to be the extraordinary and dramatic downfall of Boris Johnson.
PHIL
And for story number two, we look back at the legacy that the self-styled Big Dog has left behind - for the Tory Party and British politics.
MICHAEL
What’s story number three this week? Well, it’s the suggestion the government - or what’s left of it - might allow people in local communities to block the imposition on what are described as ‘woke’ street names.
PHIL
And for number four, I’ve always said that philately will get you anywhere. And if you are a stamp collector, you’ll be particularly interested in the new breed of Royal Mail issues that carry a barcode as well as the familiar Queen’s head.
MICHAEL
Which brings us to our final story of the week. Wrapping up the five, we’ll be investigating a clampdown in New Zealand on outdoor defecation.
PHIL
That story should surely be at No 2. And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
