MICHAEL
Hello and a very warm welcome to this week’s Five in the Eye – Colourful Radio’s news review show. This is me – Michael Ohajuru – and you’re listening to episode 0397 – a prime number show!

And joining Michael via Zoom this week, it’s Phil Woodford, revealing that we’re joined by a very special guest. All the way from Potsdam, it’s our Bureau Chief in Germany, none other than Burkhard Acktun. Hi there Burkhard and welcome back to Five in the Eye!
BURKHARD
Hi Phil, hello Michael. It’s great to be back on Five in the Eye. And I can reveal that our top story this week is going to be the reports that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak plans for the UK to leave the European Convention on Human Rights.

For our second story, we return to our recent theme of artificial intelligence, in a week when Microsoft and Google are competing over the way they’re planning on incorporating clever chatbots into search engines. Burkhard is going to give us his own perspective on the new technology.

What’s story number three? Well, we’re going to look into the bizarre and murky plot to overthrow the German government, which was foiled a few weeks ago.
BURKHARD
And for story number four this week, we learn about two nuns who have fallen foul of the Vatican for refusing to leave their monastery.

Finally, to wrap up the show at number five, it’s the woman who thinks she can see Shakespeare in her light fitting.
PHIL
Our stories seem to go from Bard to worse. And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
