PHIL

Hello and a very warm welcome to this week’s edition of Five in the Eye - Colourful Radio’s weekly news review show. This is Phil Woodford, back after a week away. Thanks so much to Olu Alake for standing in for me on last week’s show.

MICHAEL

And this is me - Michael Ohajuru - revealing that this special prime number episode, 0409, is going to be focused on the astonishing growth of artificial intelligence. Yes, it’s a Five in the AI special! Our first story is about the top Google man who has quit because he’s worried about the technology he helped to create.

PHIL

For story number two, we’ll look at some of the practical applications of AI. The government wants to use it to find solutions to processing migrants. And there are some huge potential advantages in medicine. Perhaps the benefits outweigh the risks?

MICHAEL

And at three, what about the world of art and AI? Whether it’s musical artists producing ‘covers’ they never actually made or painters and photographers worried about their work being ‘scraped’ by AI, has intellectual property gone by the wayside?

PHIL

At four, we return to our more regular fare here on Five in the Eye, with a quirky story about a man who was nicked by traffic cops in the Netherlands. They discovered his ID was in the name of one… Boris Johnson.

MICHAEL

And finally this week, to wrap up the show, people have gone bananas over a man who munched on an art exhibit in South Korea.

PHIL

Some people have no taste when it comes to art! And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
