PHIL
You’re listening to Colourful Radio and this is Phil Woodford welcoming you to Five in the Eye - our weekly news review show. Michael’s busy schedule means he’s tied up this week, but never fear. We have a very special guest lined up for show 0416 - an old friend of the Eye. It’s Abs Law! Hi there, Abs.
ABS
Hi Phil, it’s great to be back on Five in the Eye. And I can reveal our top story is going to be the cost of living crisis. Food inflation dipped a little this week, but is still frighteningly high. So what can we expect over the coming months?
PHIL
Our second story is about the Tories. Boris Johnson would have been booted out of Parliament for 90 days this week, if he hadn’t already decided to quit as an MP. But Prime Minister Rishi Sunak couldn’t even make it to Parliament to endorse the recommendations of the Privileges Committee.
ABS
For our third story, we look at the report that short daytime naps might help to keep our brains healthier.
PHIL
We’ll then wake up for number four, as there is a man in Scotland who has been bringing his pet snakes to the park to sunbathe with him.
ABS
And finally, to wrap up the show, we ask: how often do you change your underwear? Apparently there’s a growing movement to wash clothes less and to stick with the same wardrobe for a week or so!
PHIL
I’ve told Michael about this, but will he listen? And that’s this week’s Five in the Eye!
