Jesus promises His followers two things: eternal life, and a cross.
You don't have to spend more than a few minutes in the New Testament to discover this, but sometimes it's good to hear it spoken out loud again to remind ourselves of the narrow path He calls us to walk. He does not exist for us, we exist for Him.
