Mark doesn't mention the birth of Jesus. John hints at His birth by stating "the Word was made flesh." Luke is the romantic and beautiful stories of shepherds, angels, and heavenly choirs. Luke's Christmas story focuses on Mary and is most often read at Christmas. Matthew tells of Jesus' birth from a different perspective than any other gospel. Matthew recounts the visit of the wise men to Jerusalem and later to a house in Bethlehem. Matthew also reveals Joseph's struggle as he is confronted with the pregnancy of his engaged wife.
